Prime Minister Modi has taken the right decision to pursue the lockdown: Kejriwal

The decision to pursue the 21-day lockdown issued in India has not yet been announced by the central government.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has indicated that the lockdown will be carried forward.

In a tweet, he said, "The Prime Minister has taken the right decision to pursue the lockdown".

Kejriwal said in his tweet, "PM has taken the right decision to extend the lockdown. Today, the situation in India is better than many developed countries because we initiated lockdown in the beginning. If it is stopped now, all profits will be lost. To consolidate, it has to be expanded. ''

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held video conferencing with the Chief Ministers of the states to discuss the lockdown. Many states have suggested to pursue lockdown.

Lock down may increase up to two weeks

After talking to Prime Minister Modi, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has told the media that the central government may decide to extend the lockdown for 15 days. According to Yeddyurappa, the Indian government will announce the guidelines for these 15 days in the next one or two days.

News agency ANI tweeted, PM told that we should not compromise on the lockdown and there are suggestions to extend it for the next 15 days. The PM said that in the next 1-2 days, the Indian government will announce guidelines for the next 15 days: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa at PM Modi's video conference with the Chief Ministers.
