GST i.e Goods and Services Tax (object and service tax) has been implemented from all over the country (except in Jammu & Kashmir) from midnight today (June 30).

During the address at the Central Hall, Narendra Modi said that those who do business of 20 lakhs will get rid of GST. Besides, the trader upto 75 lakhs will get relief in GST.

GST brings changes in the indirect tax regime of India, adding a $ 2,000 billion economy and 1.3 billion people in the single market.

Tell you that the function was attended by Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court JS Kher, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and all Union Ministers were present. The opposition including the Congress boycotted the program.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee imposed GST in the whole country by ringing the bell.

President Pranab Mukherjee said that GST is also a historic opportunity for me, because as finance minister, I took considerable initiative for this.

PM Modi said that earlier MPs and current MPs in the Parliament discussed in GST and the result of that was that today we are able to see it in reality.

In his address, Narendra Modi said that today the country is going to set the path ahead. GST is our common heritage. This is not the accomplishment of any party.

Arun Jaitley told that 23 cess including 17 tax will be finished from GST.

Arun Jaitley told this to be the beginning of a new path for India. Jaitley said, "A nation, a tax is our purpose. State and central government will work in one direction."
