In the fourth South Asian Speakers Summit held in Maldives capital, Male, there has been a sharp clash between the representatives of India and Pakistan.

Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh from the Indian side, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Pakistan's Senator Qurtulain Marri and Pak National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri were present at the summit.

At the summit, Pakistan tried to raise the issue of abolishing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Qasim Suri said that 'atrocities on Kashmiris cannot be ignored'.

Immediately raising a strong objection to this, Harivansh Singh said, "We lodge a strong objection to the internal issue of India being raised here." We also reject the attempt to politicize this platform. ''

To this, Pakistan's representative Qurtulain Marri, while harping Harivansh Narayan Singh, said, "Pakistan itself is a victim of extremism, how can you make such a comment?" We have lost the most people due to extremism? ''

The debate between the representatives of India and Pakistan at the Male Summit took place at a time when tension has been created in the Kashmir Valley after neutralizing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

There have been rallies and protests in Pakistan against this. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has also said that he will leave no stone unturned to raise this issue in international forums.
