Mujahid Khan of Piro of Bihar's Bhojpur district was killed in fighing with the terrorists in the Karan Nagar area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir in India. On Wednesday (February 14th), people gave final farewell to martyr Mujahid Khan. His body was buried with a state honor in a burial cemetery in Piro.
The family members of the martyred refused to take the cheque of Rs five lakh sent by the state government. In addition to their village, thousands of people from nearby villages reached Piro to give a final farewell to the martyred Mujahid Khan, but no minister of the central or state government reached. Bihar government sent a cheque of five lakh rupees only.
The family members of martyr Mujahid Khan say that there is no condolence in the people involved in the government, for them only the notes and votes are important.
The memorial janaja of martyr Mujahid was read in the historic halt field of Piro, in which thousands of people participated. The shopkeepers of Piro kept their shops closed and joined the martyrs' janaja. People participating in Janaja of the martyr Mujahid Khan were shouting slogan 'Pakistan Murdabad'.
Piro village resident Abdul Khair Khan used to work as a mason. His son Mujahid was with patriotism from his childhood. He was joined to the 49th battalion of the CRPF in September 2011.
Meanwhile, the family members of martyr Mujahid Khan refused to accept the aid amount of five lakh rupees sent by the state government. The relatives expressed their displeasure over the absence of the Bihar government minister, MP or a senior officer of the district for the last farewell.
Brother Imtiaz of martyr Mujahid Khan, raising questions on the amount of aid, said, "My brother is martyred for the sake of the country. I am proud of my brother. The family giving such a big sacrifice should get the least respectable amount, so that the parents of the martyr can pass their life from respect.
It is noteworthy that in the fierce encounter of the terror attack on the Karan Nagar CRPF camp in Srinagar, the son of Piro Mujahid Khan was martyred.
