After being caught from the hotel, Major Gogoi, the officer of the National Rifles with a 16-year-old Kashmiri girl in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, Indian Army Chief General Vipin Rawat said on Friday that if Major Gogoi violates the law If found, huge action will be taken against him.

General Vipin Rawat said, "Any soldier of Indian Army, whatever the rank, if it is found to be doing wrong and will come in our notice, then strict action will be taken against them."

Speaking to the reporters during the Army Goodwill School tour in Pahalgam, General Rawat said, "If Major Gogoi has done anything wrong, then I assure you that he will be punished. And I will punish him which will become an example for the rest."
