The Odd-Even scheme, which runs in Delhi from November 13 to November 17, has been postponed. This information was given by Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot in the Delhi Government.
Gehlot said that we respect NGT's decision. With the exception of two terms of NGT, two-wheelers and women, it would be difficult to implement this scheme because we do not have enough DTC buses. At the same time, we can not compromise the safety of women. We can not take risks. So in this we are withdrawing our decision. We will put a review application on Monday in the NGT.
Earlier, the NGT today gave a green signal to the scheme, with some conditions while hearing about the odd-even. The NGT said that any officer, two wheelers and women will not be given exemption.
The NGT said that during the Odd-even only the Emergency vehicles like Ambulance, Fire Brigade, Garbage-carrying vehicles will be exempted. Do not jam on the border of all coming roads in Delhi, for this, the government can run CNG buses by coordinating all the private transport service providers. DTC use only CNG buses during the Odd-even and sprinkle water in the coming week.
