Janata Dal United's Sharad Yadav camp, appointed Gujarat's Chhatu Bhai Vasava as executive president of the party today (September 17).
Janata Dal United leader Arun Kumar Shrivastav said that this decision was taken in the meeting of the Janata Dal United executive committee.
Recently, Congress candidate Ahmad Patel got the victory in the elections of three seats of Rajya Sabha in Gujarat from the Vasava's vote.
In a press conference after the meeting, Shrivastav said that the meeting was cancelled the appointment of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as party president and Vasava has been made the Executive President.
In the meeting of the Executive Committee chaired by Vice President of the party K Rajasekharan were abolished other decisions including the alliance with the BJP by breaking the Grand Alliance by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar camp.
Srivastava said that in the meeting proposed by the party leader Javed Raza in the meeting, the suggestion to cancel the appointment of Anil Hegde, appointed as election officer of the party by Nitish Kumar, was approved. With this, the appointment of office bearers by Hegde was canceled automatically.
He said that in the meeting, the Janata Dal-United leaders from all over the country have cancelled the decision by the Nitish camp, calling them an insult to the mandate to combine with the BJP. Apart from this, recently, the decision to remove Janta Dal United officials from the party by the Nitish camp was declared ineffective and the state presidents and other office-bearers who were removed were restored to their post.
Srivastava in the meeting, claimed that Sharad camp is the real Janata Dal United as part of the party's claim to take part in the 19 state units presidents and other senior officials including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
On the question of the future role of Sharad Yadav, he said that the executive has entrusted them with the responsibility of organizing the socialist ideology into a platform through a common heritage campaign on a platform and in the future, the formation of the Maha coalition in the effective form.
Srivastava said that the executive has constituted the Disciplinary Committee for reviewing anti-party decisions of Nitish camp. The three-member committee will be headed by himself. While the election dispute committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Janata Dal United General Secretary Javed Raza to decide the future strategy on disputes related to other matters, including party election symbols.
He said that a meeting of the National Council of Janata Dal United has been convened in Delhi on October 8 for approval for the executive decisions. The decisions of the committee will be decided in the meeting of the National Council on the decision to bring the decisions of other leaders including Nitish under indiscipline.
Srivastava said that in another proposal passed in the executive, it was decided to complete the organization's election process in the next six months. For this, the Executive President Vasava has been asked to complete the organizational elections by March next year.
Apart from Sharad Yadav in the meeting, former minister Ramai Ram, Rajya Sabha member Ali Anwar, former MP Arjun Rai, former legislative councilor Vijay Verma, former MLA Parveen Amanullah, Saroj Bachchan and Uday Manjhi were also present.
