But the total meaning was that the community felt that it was being targeted. The extremists are taking law into their own hands. Nobody should be allowed to do this. We told the prime minister that the atmosphere of fear is creating with gauracsha and love jihad.

Akhtarul Wase, Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Azad University Jodhpur, told the Indian Express, "We told the Prime Minister that the statement of the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and his statement is not seen on the ground in which both of them had said that the law will not be allowed to be taken in hand anyone. Law enforcement agencies are not doing their job rationally."

According to the members of the delegation, the PM told him that whatever background he came from, now he is the prime minister of 125 crore people of India and he is committed to the welfare of all those above caste and community.

According to Kazi, PM Modi said to him, "It is my responsibility that no one should feel oppressed."

But there was no mention in the statement issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB).
