Shiv Sena continued its attack on the BJP against the results of the Gujarat assembly elections on Wednesday and pointed to the tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the voting.
Significantly, in the Gujarat elections, BJP has retained possession of 99 seats and won it. Last time it had 116 seats. At the same time, the number of Congress seats increased from 61 seats in 2012 to 77 this time.
Shiv Sena said, "If Hardik Patel has said anything right then apart from Modi, EVM should also be worn garland for BJP's victory in Gujarat.''
Shiv Sena referring to burning of firecrackers of BJP workers after the election result came on Monday, he said, "Despite the BJP failing to cross the 100 mark in Gujarat, some people are celebrating the victory in Mumbai. We can say that they did not understand the true meaning of this victory.''
Shiv Sena said that the Gujarat elections show that the ruling party can go to any level to win the elections. Shiv Sena claimed, "Modi had said that the BJP would win 151 seats, while BJP chief Amit Shah had said that winning more than 150 seats would be his real victory. However, the people of Gujarat did not even give them 100 seats. "
The Shiv Sena claimed that the trend of urban class was towards the BJP, but the real Hindustan settles in the villages, where the problem of farmers and workers remains unanswered.
Significantly, Shiv Sena on Tuesday also attacked the BJP, claiming that the Gujarat model has been devastated and the election result in the state is a warning to those who believe in dictatorial rule.
In an editorial written in their mouthpiece 'Samna', Shiv Sena had said that it was ridiculed by Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Patidar leader Hardik Patel by calling them 'monkey', but these monkeys slap the tiger.
