In India, Congress on Wednesday condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a fall in the GDP. The Congress said that due to the 'gross economic mismanagement' of the government, India's growth rate has decreased.

Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala tweeted, "The government's gross economic mismanagement, which has caused India's economic slowdown to decline, says a lot. Congress leader took a dig at saying that Modi did not pay any attention to the correct advice of economists as "innocence of modinomics does not need any advice".

Surjewala's remarks come at a time when the Prime Minister has met with leading economists and experts from all sectors of the country in the NITI Commission regarding agriculture and rural development, unemployment, construction and export.

Surjewala said that the correct measurements of economic activity have also seen a sharp decline in the GVA.

Referring to a person who committed suicide in the BJP office in Dehradun, and for making notes ban and GST responsible for this move, Surjewala said that the death of that businessman was due to the tragedy of notes ban and Gabbar Singh tax.

He also said that the promise of more than 50 per cent increase in the minimum support price for farmers has proved to be the biggest lie, due to which he had to be forced to throw his produce on the road.
