Six members of the committee expressed their desire, but the Minister of State for Minority Affairs and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi did not agree to this, after which six members boycotted the meeting in Parliament premises.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday rejected the fact that the insecurity of the country's minorities has developed. He said in a program here, "I do not think minorities have a sense of fear or insecurity."
He said, while pointing to the violence being carried out by self-proclaimed cow guards in various parts of the country, "But whatever is happening, whether criminal activity or criminal conspiracy, it has not been justified by any means."
The BJP leader said, "We want to move ahead with the upliftment, promoting the atmosphere of confidence."
