A trial court in Manipur on Monday sentenced Ajay Mitaai, son of CM Biren Singh, to five years in jail in the road rage case. This case of Road Rage is in 2011.
Ajay Mitai has been sentenced to five years imprisonment under section 304 (unlawful murder) of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Roger's shooting in the case of Road rage on 20th March, 2011.
Roger did not allow the Ajay Mitaai car to move forward from its SUV. Mitaai got angry with him and he had fired Roger, which led to his death.
Let N Biren Singh take oath as Chief Minister of Manipur on March 15.
The court's decision came in a time when a week before the Supreme Court asked the Centre and the Manipur government to respond to the petition of the deceased.
The parents of the deceased had alleged that their life was in danger.
It was alleged in the petition that due to the rule of BJP under the leadership of Biren Singh, the parents of the victim are at risk of their own life.
No lawyer was prepared to appear on behalf of the High Court, hearing the petition against the conviction.
