A military officer was detained from a hotel in Srinagar with a woman on Wednesday by the Jammu and Kashmir Police in India . Both of them were taken to the police station and the army officer was handed over to his unit.
This official has been identified as Maj Gogoi, who tied a youth on his vehicle in Budgam district during the incident of stone pelting in 2017. The police said that at 11 noon, we were called about any dispute from Hotel Grand.
According to the police statement, "This case was handed to a police team and it was found that a woman and a resident of Badgam resident Sameer Ahmed wanted to meet someone in the hotel. But hotel workers did not allow these people to meet that person. Meanwhile, police reached the hotel and brought them to the police station."
Police said, "Later, it was revealed that the woman had gone to meet the army officer. The police has taken the identity and description of the army officer. After registering the official statement, he was handed over to his unit. The woman's statement has also been recorded there.'' Inspector General of Police SP Pani has ordered the SIT probe under the leadership of the Superintendent of Srinagar (North) in connection with the incident.
