Party leader Mallikarjun Kharge today gave a signal (on May 14) that if Congress wins in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah will not be CM.
However, while talking to the news agency ANI, Kharge said that the people of the media are trying to create confusion between the Congress leaders.
When he was asked to respond to this statement of Siddaramaiah, he said, "This dispute has been born in the media so that we are disturbed. We has a clear opinion on the issue that after the election results the party high command will decide on this. You wait for only 12 hours. "After the election result, party leadership will decide who will be the next CM?
Let me tell that CM M S Sidaramaiah of Karnataka had said on Sunday (May 13) that he could leave the post for Dalit CM. After this there was speculation that the Dalit face could be CM by the Congress in the state. Mallikarjun Kharge's name is also in the forefront of that list. Kharge was also in the race to become the Chief Minister at the time of the 2013 elections, but then Siddaramaiah had beaten him.
In Karnataka, on May 12, elections were held on 222 assembly seats. 70 percent voters had voted. The outcome will be on Tuesday (May 15). The Election Commission has made special arrangements for this. It is expected that on Tuesday afternoon the situation will be cleared on the next government in Karnataka. At present, people of both Congress and BJP are making claims of their own government, whereas according to the results of most exit polls, the hung assembly in the state is expected.
