Kabul Bomb Blast: So Far 80 Dead, 350 Injured

In Kabul's Wazir Akbar Khan area, a car hit a powerful suicide bomber today in which 80 people were killed and 350 were injured.

The Ministry of Health of Afghanistan has confirmed this. At present, no terrorist organization has taken responsibility for the blast.

It was reported in TV reports that the blast happened near the German mission in which the Indian Embassy building located at a distance of 50 meters was also damaged.

Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted that Indian staff and diplomats are safe after heavy blasts.

Indian Ambassador Manpreet Vohra said, "Due to the blast some windows of the embassy have been broken but the staff is safe."

Earlier, on March 8, terrorists attacked the Afghan army's biggest military hospital in Kabul. More than 100 people were killed in an encounter with security forces for six hours. The responsibility of the attack was taken by the Islamic State, which has been expanding its influence in Afghanistan.

After this, there was a powerful explosion in a bus during the busy time of March 13 in Afghanistan. No organization had taken responsibility for the blast. The attack took place when the Taliban had accelerated the attacks before the official start of the annual spring festival.

On the basis of initial information, Afghanistan's Home Ministry had said that at least one woman was killed and eight people were injured in the blast. Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid said, "The minibus was targeted at Kabul and it was exploded."

On March 1, there was a bomb explosion in Kabul. The extremists attacked two security campuses, in which 15 people were killed and 38 others were injured.

The Afghan Home Ministry had said that a suicide car bomb attacker in western Kabul tried to target the police premises and there was firing there. After the attack, there was smoke rising in the sky.

The Afghan Home Ministry had said that five minutes after the attack, another suicide bomber blew himself on the gate in the Afghan Intelligence Agency's building in eastern Kabul.
