India's largest Muslim organization Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind warned that Assam should not be tried to make Myanmar. This was said on the issue of the citizenship of Muslims who were recently introduced in Assam.
The battle for the rights of citizenship of Muslims in the state of Assam Action Committee is on.
Muslim organization president Maulana Arshad Madani said during an interaction with the media in a program organized by the committee that efforts are being made to remove the names of 48 lakh married women from the state's voting registry. This is being done so that their rights should be stripped off, their children could not get education and they were thrown out of the country. If that happens then it will become a situation like Myanmar in Assam.
The Assam Action Committee said, on one hand, the work of the National Registry of Citizens is going on in the state, on the other hand, the Guwahati High Court has given a decision that citizenship of 48 lakh Muslim women has come under crisis.
Maulana Madani said, they will go to the Supreme Court against the High Court's decision.
Explain that Muslims do not make their birth certificates due to lack of education and poverty in Assam and if the chief of the village who gives certificate to the muslim girl at the time of marriage so it is believed to be the proof of citizenship.
Although the High Court has given this certificate of illegality to women, after which Muslim women are fighting for the rights of citizenship in the state.
Madani said that the government should follow the Assam Accord and the rules and regulations very seriously.
