Israeli army asks Palestinians to evacuate Gaza city

The Israeli army has asked all residents of Gaza City to evacuate from the south to the central Gaza Strip, amid intensified military operations in the north.

The leaflets dropped from the plane asked all residents to leave the dangerous war zone by safe route.

The United Nations has said that it is extremely concerned about the evacuation orders being given in Gaza. This is the second time since the war began that Gaza City has been asked to be completely evacuated.

In the past two weeks, the Israeli army has re-entered several districts of Gaza City. The army believes that Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have regrouped since the beginning of the year 2024.

On this, Hamas says, "Israel's new activity threatens to derail the talks resumed in Qatar on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, on a possible ceasefire and hostage release agreement."

It is estimated that more than 2.5 lakh people are still living in Gaza city and some people have been seen migrating towards the south.
