Israel names illegal Golan settlement after Trump
16 Jun 2019 ( IBTN News Bureau )Trump is a name known around the world for business towers, hotels and golf courses but now it is the namesake of the Israeli-controlled settlement of Golan Heights as well.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially inaugurated the new settlement, renaming it Trump Heights in the honour of US President Donald Trump.
It comes as a gesture of goodwill after Trump's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the territory.
Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports from West Jerusalem.
