The Iraqi administration has banned news agency Reuters for three months. The administration says Reuters coverage of the Corona infection in Iraq was unprofessional.
The news agency reported on Thursday that the corona infection cases in Iraq are many times more than government claims.
The Iraqi government says it has a total of 772 cases of corona virus. At the same time, according to Reuters, the World Health Organization has not confirmed the figures of the Iraqi government.
Reuters had quoted three unidentified doctors in its news and said they were closely involved in the testing process.
The Communications and Media Commission of Iraq has also accused Reuters of relying on unknown sources. It has ordered Reuters to publish the apology and has also imposed a fine of 21 thousand dollars on it.
