International Court of Justice orders Israel to stop military operation in Rafah

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ordered Israel to stop its military operation in Rafah, Gaza.
ICJ gave this decision on the petition of South Africa.
The ICJ has said that Israel should immediately stop its military operation in Rafah, which poses a threat to the Palestinians.
The ICJ has asked Israel to report within a month on the steps to be taken on the decision of Friday, May 24, 2024.

In recent days, Israel has intensified military operations in Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is calling the operation being conducted in Rafah necessary to defeat Hamas.
Many humanitarian organizations, including America, have expressed apprehension that the lives of thousands of Palestinians are in danger due to Israel's campaign in Rafah.
Currently, more than 1 million Palestinians have taken refuge in Rafah.
