India is facing the most catastrophic climate change. This has been revealed in an international report about the loss of climate change.
According to the Lancet report released soon, the Climate change destroyed 153 billion working hours in the world in 2017. In India alone, the loss of 75 billion hours was equal. It is 49 percent of the total damage done in the world. Worse is the fact that 99 per cent of the loss is happening in countries with low income.
Assessment of damage has been done due to the circumstances arising due to heat rise, incidents of catastrophe, its impact on health, and diseases, etc. In this study, renowned institutions from all over the world have participated.
According to information from the sources, this report says that in less than two decades, the side effects of climate change have been exponentially. For example, between 2000 and 2017, productivity of 62 billion work hours has been lost. As far as India is concerned, there was an estimated 43 billion hours of work loss in 2000, which increased significantly in two decades.
According to the report, the impact of climate change on the world as a productive loss is equivalent to $ 326 billion. It is 160 billion dollars in terms of India. While China's losses are just close to 1.4 percent, with 21 billion work hours. Clearly, China's preparations are far better than India.
