Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the current chairman of the G-20 countries, has handed over the chairmanship to Brazil at the conclusion of the summit.
Brazil will hold the presidency of the G-20 countries from November 2023.
PM Modi said, "India has the presidency of G-20 till November. We still have two and a half months left. I propose to hold a virtual session to review what we have decided. We hope you will join him. With this I announce the closure of G-20. May there be hope and peace throughout the world. Thank you all with the good wishes of 140 crore Indians."
During this, PM Modi also talked about increasing the number of permanent members in the United Nations Security Council.
He said that change is necessary with time.
There are currently five members in the United Nations Security Council.
These include America, Russia, China, Britain and France.
India has been demanding for a long time to increase the number of its permanent members.
