India-China War may be Fought due to Border Dispute in Sikkim: US Experts

A US expert has said that the boundary dispute between India and China can be a cause of war between the two countries in Sikkim sector. Asked whether the current stalemate between India and China could be a cause of war, Jeff M. Smith of the American Foreign Policy Council told the New York Times, "Yes, I think and I'm not saying in a light-hearted way."

Due to border issues, Smith said, pointing to the war of 1962, "Both sides have taken a tough stand, which is difficult to return." In Doklam, China, India and Bhutan, The boundaries are met and it has strategic importance for the three countries.

The Indian army had banned the construction of roads in this area by Chinese troops in June, due to which between the troops of both countries were stuck. This is the second month of the deadlock between the soldiers of the two countries in Doklam.

China has repeatedly asked India to recall its troops from Doklam from India. China considers Doklam to be its territory. India has said that the soldiers of both countries should withdraw from that place because it is part of its allies Bhutan. Bhutan has no diplomatic relationship with China. He also opposed the construction of the road by China in Doklam.

Explain that National Security Advisor Ajit Dobhal, in the midst of a deadlock in the Sikkim sector, held talks with his Chinese counterpart and state councilor Yang Jichi other than the meeting of BRICS top security officials on Thursday. According to China's official news agency Xinhua, Yang met separately with senior security representatives of South Africa, Brazil and India.

It has been said in the news that Yang discussed the bilateral relations, international and regional issues and multilateral issues with the three senior security representatives and presented China's stand on bilateral issues and big problems. Dobhal and Yang are special representatives of the Indo-China border system.

Dobhal reached China yesterday to participate in a two-day meeting of national security advisers of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS). From his visit, the possibility of a settlement between India and China has increased due to a month-long deadlock in Doklam area of Sikkim region. Dobhal and Yang are both special representatives of the Indo-China border system.

According to the official program, Dobhal will meet with China's President Xi Jinping tomorrow with top security officials of the country.
