Guwahati: India produced a historic batting performance against West Indies in the second ODI, successfully chasing down a massive target of 406 runs to win the match by eight wickets. India reached the target in 43.3 overs and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Shubman Gill led the chase with an unbeaten 223 runs, while Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant 101. Gill's innings included 26 fours and eight sixes, while Rohit contributed 10 fours and six sixes.
West Indies had earlier posted 405/7, their highest ODI total, with centuries from John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo.
