India has requested the US to reconsider the visa-related rule that has caused the danger of leaving the United States to thousands of Indian students.

The US Immigration Service has announced this week that foreign students whose universities will have all their classes in online mode will not be allowed to stay in the country. Only students taking classroom teaching and in-person tuition will be allowed to stay in the United States.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, "The Trump administration should take care that educational exchanges and people-to-people relationships play a role in improving relations between countries."

This decision of the US government is also being opposed in the American academic world. Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have challenged the government's decision in court.
