Hong Kong suspends controversial extradition bill after backlash
15 Jun 2019 ( IBTN News Bureau )Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam has suspended debate on a controversial extradition bill, after hundreds of thousands of people in the territory protested against it.
Addressing media on Saturday, Lam said there were supporters on both sides of the debate over the legislation.
