Israel releases 39 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 13 hostages

Israel has released 39 Palestinian prisoners after Hamas released 13 Israeli hostages.
A group of 24 Palestinian women and 15 Palestinian teenagers were released by Israel as part of a hostage and prisoner swap.
They were released near the Beituniya checkpoint in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The prisoners have been released under an agreement brokered by Qatar.
In this, a four-day pause has been given in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. The released prisoners face charges ranging from stone throwing to attempted murder. Some of them have been convicted and some are on trial.
Earlier, Hamas released 13 Israeli hostages. These hostages were handed over to the Red Cross involved in relief work and were taken towards Gaza's border with Egypt.

However, he refused to estimate how long the war between Hamas and Israel would last.
He said that Israel's objective of eliminating Hamas cannot be questioned but it is a difficult mission.
