Before the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat, the Congress leadership decided to send him to Bangalore to save his MLAs from hunting. The MLAs were sent to the Congress-ruled state of Karnataka on Friday (July 28th). 44 MLAs have been kept there in a resort.

However, no legislator is clearly not convinced that the Congress has sent them out of fear of BJP. Karnataka is the Congress ruled state. That's why the place was deemed fine. Rajya Sabha elections will be held on August 8. All the legislators of the Congress may be on the same up to six dates.

On condition of anonymity, a senior party leader said, "In view of the prevailing situation in Gujarat where efforts are being made to lure our members, we are taking our MLAs to Bengaluru." Reaching Bengaluru Congress MLA Sailesh Parmar said that BJP is trying to cover its shortcomings by indulging in lure of money and intimidating the legislators on their side.

Earlier, Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala had demanded that to use the money and power, the Election Commission to file a criminal case against BJP to hunt the Congress legislators. This allegation has been rejected by the BJP.

Three more legislators resigned today giving a strong jolt to the opposition party Congress in Gujarat. With this, the number of MLAs who left the party before the Rajya Sabha elections were six. Congress has again stand party president Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel for the Upper House of Parliament from Gujarat.

The number of Congress in the 182 member state assembly has decreased from 57 to 51. It can affect Patel's fate in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.
