The Supreme Court has shown strict vigil over the incidents of mobs lynching in India. While hearing a petition related to these incidents on Tuesday, the Supreme Court has said that it is the government's responsibility to stop the incidents of lynching.
While hearing the case, the court said, "The government has the responsibility to stop the incidents of lynching. Such incidents should not happen in the country. We are not saying that should not be, but rather we are saying that these incidents should not happen."
At the same time, the Supreme Court said that we will give a detailed decision to stop mobs lynching. The court said, "Such incidents should not happen at any cost."
The Supreme Court has indicated that the decision to stop mobs lynching will also provide compensation for the mobs lynching victims. The court has given three days time to the petitioners to give suggestions on this matter.
Senior advocate Indira Jai Singh said in the Supreme Court on this matter, "To prevent such incidents like mobs lynching, the central government will have to play a greater role than issuing advisory." She said that most of such incidents are near railway and highway and both are under the central government.
