The government and the opposition held meetings to resolve the impasse in Rajya Sabha over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks against former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and others during the Gujarat poll campaign. Sources said nothing emerged at the meeting yesterday to end the logjam.
Opposition leaders met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar in Parliament House and sought a resolution of the issue. They demanded that Mr Modi should clarify his remarks in the upper house.
