A special CBI court in Ranchi pronounced a verdict on Saturday (December 23) in a lawsuit related to the Bihar fodder scam case. Jagannath Mishra, Dhruv Bhagat, Vidya Sagar have been acquitted.
Chief accused and then Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav, then President of PAC Jagadish Sharma, RK Rana, three IAS officers, Phoolchand Singh, Beck Julius and Mahesh Prasad, Treasury Officer SK Bhattacharya, veterinary doctor Dr KK Prasad and the remaining other feed suppliers have been blamed.
All convicts will be sentenced on January 3. Till then, the process of sending all prisoners is being completed. The convicted prisoners will remain in prison.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Bihar chief minister, Jagannath Mishra and 22 others, including several other politicians and IAS officers, were present in the special court of the CBI on Saturday morning in case of removing money illegally from Devgarh treasury.
RJD has said in a press conference that he will appeal against the decision in the upper court. Party leaders say that they believe in the justice system.
Manoj Jha of RJD said that Lalu has been forcibly implicated. He said that till yesterday who parrot was in cages, but today he is being controlled by the chip. The one who bends in front of him is saved, who does not bend, he has to endure.'
The court convicted 15 accused, including Lalu. 7 others, including former CM Jagannath Mishra, have been acquitted.
