The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced the withdrawal of the suspension of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect.

At the same time, in another tweet, AIFF has also told that now the Under-17 Women's World Cup Football 2022 will be organized as per the schedule.

Soon after this news came, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur also expressed happiness in a tweet on the night of Friday, 26 August 2022.

He wrote, “The Bureau of the FIFA Council has today decided to lift the suspension of AIFF with immediate effect. Now the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2022, to be held from October 11 to 30, 2022, will be organized as per the pre-determined plan. This is a win for all football fans!

The AIFF has said in its statement that the FIFA Council has decided to lift the suspension of AIFF due to undue influence of third parties.

According to the statement, the decision came as "it became clear to FIFA that the Committee of Administrators, formed to take over the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee, had been abolished and that the AIFF Administration had gained full control over its day-to-day affairs." Is.''

The statement also said that FIFA and the Asian Football Federation (AFC) will continue to monitor the situation and assist AIFF in conducting the elections at the right time.

After this decision, AIFF Acting General Secretary Sunando Dhar said, "The darkest time of Indian football is finally over. The suspension imposed on the AIFF at midnight of August 15, 2022 has been lifted by FIFA.
