Many cases of narcotics trafficking continue coming out from across the border. From time to time, the campaign is also run by police and security forces to prevent the smuggling of narcotics coming across the border. On Friday, the Baramulla police of Jammu and Kashmir caught a truck carrying 25 kg narcotics drugs coming to India.

According to the news agency ANI, the drugs were sent to India from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, for the purpose of cross border trade, which the police seized. In this case, whether any smuggler has been arrested or not. No information was found in this regard yet. Along with this, the price of the drug substance has not yet been ascertained. The police is investigating this matter.

The Baramulla police launched a campaign against the prevention of drug trafficking on Saturday and seized 25 kg of Narcotics drugs being transported into the truck. Such cases have already appeared many times before.

Punjab is also facing the problem of cross border smuggling. In the past, the consignment of heroin from Pakistan was recovered by the Fazilka STF Jalandhar Range and the Commissioner Police during joint operation. Police team arrested 2 smugglers and recovered 1 kg heroin. The cost of the heroin was reckoned to be worth 5 crores in the international market. The arrest of smugglers has revealed the network of heroin trafficking at international level.

The news came a few months ago that in order to deliver drugs to India, Pakistani smugglers have discovered new ways that the smugglers will not be harmed if drugs are caught. Pakistani smugglers are using cross-border irrigation tools to bring drugs to India in Punjab. Simultaneously, adopting methods like throwing small packets of prohibited drug substances.

On behalf of the BSF officer it was told that it is difficult to smuggle large packets of heroin one kg or more. So smugglers are trying to bring drugs into 250 grams of small packets. They throw packets from across the border at night. Here the local smugglers take the packet. To prevent smuggling, BSF and Police are running joint operations.
