Congress forms government in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh; BJP out of power

In the assembly elections of five states of India, Congress has won three states in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress is going to form governments in three states. In Rajasthan, Congress has got 99 seats and it needs a seat to form the government. The BJP has won 73 seats. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had resigned as Chief Minister on Tuesday. In Rajasthan, Congress had released a claim on Tuesday to form the government.

In Madhya Pradesh, Congress has won 114 seats and it needs two seats to form the government. BSP supremo Mayawati has announced that she will support Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to form the government. BSP has got two seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has made it clear that he will not present a claim to form a government and resigned from his post. In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 109 seats and it is the second big party.

In Chhattisgarh, the Congress has achieved a clear majority. In Chhattisgarh, Congress has won 68 seats. Here, BJP has won 15 seats and it has lost 34 seats compared to the previous elections. Here Chief Minister Raman Singh resigned from his post on Tuesday and took charge of defeat in Chhattisgarh himself.

The ten year rule of Congress in Mizoram has come to an end. Here, the MNF has secured majority with 26 seats. MNF is forming government in Mizoram.

In Telangana, the KCR's TRS won a clear majority with 88 seats. The TRS is forming government in Telangana.
