Congress has demanded Amit Shah's resignation over suspicious transactions and deals of the company of Jai Shah, son of BJP president Amit Shah, so that the fair investigation of this case can be done.
The Congress insisted that before that whenever the question of the integrity of any BJP chief was raised, he resigned.
Congress leader Anand Sharma said, "We are not making any allegations. We are only demanding fair investigation of the case. And for the free and fair investigation, Amit Shah should resign from the post of BJP president as well as the Rajya Sabha."
Sharma said, when L. Advani's name came in Jain hawala diaries, he had resigned from the party president as well as the Lok Sabha.
Sharma said, "Bangaru Laxman, who was caught taking cash on camera, had also resigned. And recently, due to the name in the Purti scam, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also resigned from the post of BJP president."
The Congress leader said that in the alleged scandal, neither Advani nor Gadkari were prosecuted, but they had resigned for the sake of fair investigation.
Sharma said, "We expect that Amit Shah will also follow this path and will keep himself away from the case until the investigation is complete."
But the question arises that Amit Shah will resign as the BJP president for a fair investigation.
