China warned India on Thursday (June 29th) that if it does not call back its troops from the Chinese territory, then the current tension will increase on the border and this is the only condition for meaningful talks on the border deadlock.
Beijing said that it has pictures of violations of the Chinese border of Indian soldiers. Foreign Ministry spokesman Loo Kang showed photos for a few seconds in a conversation with the reporters. The picture did not clearly show due to distance.
Loo said that after the press briefing these photographs will be posted on the Ministry of External Affairs website. He said, "We once again urge the soldiers to return to the Indian border, to follow the historic boundary conference from the Indian side, respect China's territorial sovereignty and not increase tension."
He said, "This is the condition for settlement of the dispute and the basis for starting meaningful talks".
The meaning of the Chinese territory by Loo means from Donglong and Dokalam, which is a disputed region between China and Bhutan, where there has been a clash between the People's Liberation Army and the Indian soldiers. China has accused India of obstructing road construction with the collusion of Bhutan.
After the soldiers came face to face, China suspended the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra of Indian pilgrims. Pilgrims were going to Kailash Mansarovar while going through Nathula Pass which has been closed.
Loo said that the news of Indian soldiers entering the Chinese territory can not be denied.
He said, "India is violating the promise of the Government of India along with our historic boundary conventions. I can show you photos of the violation of the boundary."
Bypassing opposition from Bhutan on road building towards Bhutanese military camp in Donglam or Donglong area of Jonplari, said that this is happening in the Chinese sector and construction is just and legitimate.
Bhutan has issued a Demarsh (diplomatic action) to the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi regarding this incident as there is no diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
Loo said, "Donglong has been part of China since ancient times. This is an indisputable area and we have adequate legal grounds in this regard."
Loo said, "And building roads in my area is the sovereign action of China. It is completely just and legitimate.''
Not only India and Bhutan, there are disputes over the border with the remaining 12 neighboring countries of China.
