China today said that India is misguiding the common people by saying that the Chinese troops are building the road in Sikkim sector 'Sikkim Corridor' or 'Chikans Neck' which could be a threat to India's reach in the North-Eastern states.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zheng Shuang told reporters, ''While defaming the 1890 China-British Treaty, the Indian side said that the Dok La is located in the area of the three countries, it is misleading the people.''

Jeng insisted, "The treaty of 1890 says that the boundary of the Sikkim area starts with the eastern hills and this incident (road construction) has been around 2000 meters away from the mountain of Gipamochi.

They claimed that this incident has nothing to do with the triangular between China, India and Bhutan.

While defending the road construction by China, Jeng said that the Indian side is actually confusing the public by saying that this incident is a meeting point of the boundary of the three countries.

India and Bhutan are protesting against the road construction by China. India expressed concern over road construction, fearing that Chinese soldiers could be successful in cutting off contact with its North-Eastern states.

Explain that there is a total of 3500 km long border between India and China. The war was fought in 1962 due to the boundary dispute between the two countries. Despite its border dispute could not be solved.

This is the reason why border disputes between India and China have often been rising in different parts. The existing boundary dispute is linked to the meeting point of India-Bhutan and China border. Sikkim is the Dokalam Plateau adjacent to the Indian border, where China is bent on building roads.

Indian soldiers had protested against this attempt of China in the past. Some part of the Dokalam Plateau also situated in Bhutan. Bhutan also opposed this attempt of China. In Bhutan, this plateau is called Dok La, while in China, the Doklong.

There is no diplomatic relationship between Bhutan and China. Bhutan has often been receiving Indian military and diplomatic assistance in such cases. So, the Indian Army has also protested against the efforts of road construction of Chinese soldiers this time too. This thing has gone unnoticed by China.
