China has expressed its displeasure over the statement of Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat that he had asked 'the country to be ready to fight on two fronts'.

The Chinese government said on Thursday that this statement of Army Chief was against this week's spirit of cooperation that was born during meeting of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi-Jinping.

Chinese government spokesman Jiang Shuang said, "Two days ago President Xi Jinping had indicated to the Prime Minister Modi that the two countries are not threats to each other but there are options for development."

He also said, "We do not know whether they have been authorized for what they have given or they suddenly gave this statement, or this statement of them expresses the attitude of the Indian government."

Let us know, on Wednesday, the army chief of India had said during a program that the country should be ready to fight on two fronts, because China has started showing the eye, while there is no intelligence of reconciliation with Pakistan.

The Army Chief warned that this situation can slowly take the form of a big struggle on the northern border.

He said that there is a possibility that these conflicts may be limited to one place and time or that it may be a whole war form in the entire frontier area. And in such a situation, Pakistan will be in a position to take advantage of this situation.

General Bipin Rawat had said, "We have to be ready. In our context, the situation of war is within the scope of reality. In order to successfully combat the external security threats, the Army's supremacy in the three services should be maintained.

The Army Chief's remarks have come at a time when India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to go ahead on the Indo-China relationship, leaving behind the conflict of Doklam.

General Rawat had said that India can not take the risk of reducing its vigil against China. As far as the north is concerned, the eye has started showing. We have to be prepared for situations that can gradually become a conflict.
