The blast happened outside a bank, where people had gathered to take their salary. The capital city is about 550 kilometres away from Kabul. No organization has taken responsibility for this attack so far.

On March 8, the terrorists attacked the Afghan army's largest military hospital in Kabul. More than 100 people were killed in an encounter with security forces for six hours. The Islamic State took responsibility for the attack.

On 13 March a powerful explosion occurred in a bus. No organization had taken responsibility for the blast. The attack took place when the Taliban accelerated the attacks before the official start of the annual spring festival.
