British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suddenly arrived in Kiev. There he met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Ukraine is celebrating its 31st year of independence from the Soviet Union.
Upon reaching Ukraine, Johnson said, "Whatever is happening in Ukraine matters to us. So today I have come to Kiev.''
He said, "This is why Britain will stand by its friend Ukraine. I am sure that Ukraine can and will win this war."
Boris Johnson has reached Ukraine's capital Kiev for the third time after the war with Russia.
Johnson has appeared in public several days after resigning as prime minister on July 7, 2022.
President Zelensky awarded the Order of Liberty to Prime Minister Boris Johnson in recognition of Britain's staunch support for Ukraine's independence.
