In the counting of votes held on 3 November 2023, BJP has won in three states of India, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, while Congress has won in one state, Telangana.
In Chhattisgarh, BJP has won 54 seats, leaving behind the ruling party Congress. Congress has won 35 seats in Chhattisgarh. In Rajasthan also, BJP defeated Congress by winning 115 seats. Congress has got 69 seats in Rajasthan.
Whereas in Madhya Pradesh, BJP was again successful in maintaining its government. BJP won 163 seats. Whereas Congress has won 66 seats.
Congress has won 64 seats in Telangana, leaving BRS behind. Whereas BRS has got 39 seats, BJP has got 8 seats and Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM has got 7 seats.
According to the changed schedule by the Election Commission, the counting of votes in Mizoram has started from 8 am on November 4, 2023, which was earlier to be held on November 3, 2023.
The main fight in Mizoram is between the ruling party Mizo National Front, Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) and Congress. The three parties have fielded candidates on all 40 assembly seats.
Mizo National Front had won 26 seats in the 2018 elections. At that time Congress could win only five seats, whereas in 2013 Congress had won 34 seats.
The date of Mizoram Assembly election results was advanced by one day to December 4, 2023. The first counting of votes was to take place along with the remaining four states on December 3, 2023.
Opposition alliance Zoram People's Movement has secured majority in Mizoram by winning 27 seats. Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has lost the election from his seat.
Lalthansanga of Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) has won from Aizawl East 1 by a margin of more than two thousand votes.
ZPM performed well and won 27 out of 40 seats.
Whereas Mizo National Front (MNF) of Zoramthanga has won nine seats. MNF is leading on 1 seat.
BJP has won two seats and Congress is leading on one seat.
