Social worker Swami Agnivesh was attacked outside the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters on Friday. This attack took place when Swami Agnivesh came here to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

At the BJP headquarters, Vajpayee's body was kept to pay tribute. Immediately after reaching at the venue of Swami Agnivesh at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, some people shouted slogans against them and asked them to return.

In some footage broadcast by the news channel, they can be seen running away and followed by some people. It is alleged that these attacking people are BJP workers. After this Delhi Police took Agnivesh in the car and took them safely.

Agnivesh was attacked recently while going to participate in a public program in a village in Jharkhand's Paakud district. This attack was allegedly done by BJP's Youth Front and ABVP activists.
