Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that India should not have Gabbar Singh tax, but simple GST.

In the rally at Khed Brahma of Sabarkantha, he said, "Congress and the people of the country have fought on 28% GST tax of many things. As result, Modi government minimized GST tax 28% to 18% on many items. Our struggle for a rate with 18% cap will continue. If the BJP will not do this, then the Congress will do it. As soon as Congress comes to power, Gabbar Singh will tax end. We will strengthen GST so that more than 18% tax will not be levied on any goods. "

Rahul, who was on a three day visit to Gujarat, went to Akshardham temple first. Later, he addressed an election rally in Chiloda village. Taking the issue of GST here also said, the country should need one tax, not five types of tax.

Rahul Gandhi said, "We call BJP's GST as Gabbar Singh Tax. We want to have a structural change in it. Fundamental change should come. Good thing is that many items are extracted from 28% slabs. We want to have a simple tax. Have a tax rate. "
