Investigation in the case of Nirav Modi, who escaped from Punjab National Bank by robbing 11400 crores of rupees in India, has not been started yet, the news of another merchant's disappearance is coming up. According to media reports, Vikram Kothari, owner of Rotomac Pen Company, who took a loan of about Rs 800 crore from different banks, has also fled from India.
According to sources, Kothari had taken a loan of about Rs 800 crore from five big banks in India. Kothari took a loan of Rs 485 crores from Union Bank of India and took loan of Rs 352 crores from Allahabad Bank. In addition to these two banks, Kothari had taken loan from Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Indian Overseas Bank. Even after one year, Kothari, the owner of Rotomac Company, has neither paid the loan nor paid the interest amount.
The Kothari office located on Kanpur City Center Road has also been locked for the last few weeks. Since then Vikram Kothari is absconding. Meanwhile, Allahabad Bank manager Rajesh Gupta has said that the property of Kothari will be sealed if loan is not paid.
Let me tell you that the case of Vikram Kothari came out shortly after Nirav Modi was absconding. On the other hand, Nirav Modi and his business partner and uncle Mehul Chaukasi looted Rs 11400 crore of Punjab National Bank. Both are currently absconding. India's agencies are looking for Nirav Modi. The Ministry of External Affairs has suspended the passport of Modi and Chaukasi for four weeks. It has also been said that if Modi and Chaukasi do not contact the Foreign Ministry within seven days, their passports will be canceled.
