The student unit of BJP and the RSS, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) had to face defeat in the student union elections of the University of Hyderabad.
Here ABVP has lost all seats, while the Opposition Front Alliance for Social Justice (ASJ) has won all the seats.
Earlier, ABVP had to face defeat in two seats in Delhi University student union elections. There, the student wing of Congress, NSUI won the post of president and vice-president.
Hyderabad Central University student union elections took place on Friday (September 22) and results came the late night.
Among the winners are three Dalits, two Muslims and one tribal candidate from the Alliance for Social Justice.
The Alliance for Social Justice is a coalition of dalit, tribal, minority students as well as left organizations.
Elections in Hyderabad Central University have taken place that time, the suicide of dalit student Rohit Vemulla was in the headlines a year ago.
Under the banner of the Alliance for Social Justice, Shrirag Poikadan of Ambedkar Students Union has been elected the new president of Hyderabad Central University Students Union.
Srirag defeated Karan Palsania of ABVP with 170 votes.
Aarif Ahmad of the Students Federation of India has won the post of General Secretary. He defeated ABVP's Kiran Kumar by 409 votes, while Muhammad Ashiq of the Muslim Students Federation defeated ABVP candidate Rani by 281 votes.
The representative of the Dalit student union has also won the post of cultural and sports secretary.
A tribal student Lunavath Naresh has been elected as Vice President of the Student Union. He defeated ABVP candidate Apurva by 261 votes.
However, the result of this post has been postponed because some doubts were raised regarding the winner's attendance.
In the Alliance for Social Justice Coalition, Students Federation of India, Ambedkar Students Association, Dalit Students Union, Tribal Students Forum, Students Islamic Organization, Muslim Students Federation and Telangana Vidyarthi Vedika were involved.
