All Americans are angry with the death of a black person in police custody in America. Demonstrations are taking place on a wide scale in the US.
In many places, these protests have taken a violent form and the administration has had to impose night curfews in several big cities including the capital, Washington.
In fact, violent protests have been taking place in the United States over the past week over the death of a black man, George Flood, at the hands of a white police officer.
Curfew has been imposed in at least 40 cities due to the protests, but even then people are taking to the streets.
Apparently, these demonstrations have also raised the concern of President Donald Trump.
Presidential elections are also to be held at the end of this year. On one hand, Trump is struggling with the crisis of Corona epidemic, while now this violence has created a new political problem for him.
Trump warned of the escalating violence and said that if the governors of the states failed to control the situation, the task of establishing peace would be entrusted to the army.
Not only this, he alleged that Antifa has provoked riots in the guise of the protests over the death of US citizen George Flood. He also said that anti-fascist group Antifa would be declared a terrorist organization.
Meanwhile, a statement by Police Chief Art Aquedo of Houston, a major city in the US, has also hit the headlines. Speaking to a news channel, he asked President Donald Trump to keep quiet.
Aquedo said, "I want to tell the US President on behalf of the police chiefs of this country that if you cannot talk in any way, then keep your mouth shut."
Akvedo said, "You are putting people at risk in the year 2020. This is the time to win people's hearts and not to threaten them. Police officers across the country are injured, people are injured. There is a need, but leadership is making us unhappy. You are a president and take decisions from that. It is not Hollywood. It is real life and it is in danger.''
The video is going viral on social media and people are praising Police Chief Akedo and criticizing Trump.
Wal Demings tweeted, "When we impeached Trump, we warned that he was moving towards dictatorship. The apprehension that I had expressed then, is now sure. This president is a threat to democracy, our family and us.''
Governor Christine Todd Wittman tweeted, "Please stay away from this crisis. Do not tell the governors what to do. Instead of appealing to the people to remain calm and united, you are in the White House basement and silent. While the Governor and the Mayor are active.''
However, there are some people who are not satisfied with the role of police and they have also raised questions about it on social media.
H. Rogers wrote, "I would like to tell the police chiefs of America that if you cannot do your work, save people's lives and their property then go to the shore and let someone else do this work."
There have been strenuous demonstrations in the United States in the past week. People's resentment has come to light after a video clip went viral in which a blonde police officer was seen kneeling on the neck of an unarmed black man named George Floyd.
Minutes later, 46-year-old George Floyd died.
It can be seen in the video that George and the people around him are pleading with the police officer to release him.
George, under the knee of a police officer, is repeatedly saying, "Please, I can't breathe". This became his last word. In many cities of America, protesters are carrying the banner of 'I can't breathe'.
