AB de Villiers announces retirement

South African star batsman AB de Villiers has announced his retirement from international cricket. On Wednesday, De Villiers released a video of himself and informed that he is saying goodbye to international cricket with immediate effect.

In the video, 34-year-old De Villiers said that this is the right time for him to retire. Tell that one of the world's most stylish batsmen, De Villiers, remains the main part of the South African team for 14 years. He has played 114 Test matches for South Africa, while he has been part of the Proteas team in 228 ODIs. Apart from this, De Villiers has played 78 T20 Internationals.

De Villiers, who started his cricket career with the African team on which ground, announced his retirement on the same ground today, he said, "After 14 years playing for the country, the time has come to give opportunity to other people. I have done my job and tell the truth, now I am tired."

Tell us that De Villiers has scored 8765 runs in 191 innings in Tests, while in ODIs, he scored 9677 runs in 218 innings.
