Videocon Telecommunications in India, after acquiring all the accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case, is planning to claim compensation of Rs 10 thousand crore against the Modi government of the Center. The sources associated with the company gave this information.

A source close to the company's senior management said, "Videocon Telecommunications is planning to claim a compensation claim of at least Rs 10 thousand crore against the government. The loss is estimated to be over 10 thousand crore rupees, the company is calculating it. "

He said, "The company had to borrow a loan of about Rs 25 thousand crore for the telecom service business. With the cancellation of the telecom license, he had to suffer huge financial losses.

It may be mentioned that the Special Court hearing the 2G case acquitted all the accused including the then Telecom Minister A Raja on December 21, 2017, in connection with the 2G mobile phone service license and spectrum allocation for 2008.

The Supreme Court of India had canceled 122 telecom licenses allotted during the Raja's tenure in an order in 2012. Of them, 15 were Videocon licenses. He had paid Rs. 15 crores for them. After that decision, Videocon participated in the auction, and in November 2012, he had bought license for 2221.44 crore rupees for Bihar, Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat in the 1800 MHz (2G) category. However, due to the rising expenditure of the spectrum, the company could not stay in the business and sold its spectrum last year to Airtel.

Tell that a court hearing on 2G case had acquitted DMK chief M Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal and promoters of Essar and Loop on Thursday (December 21) in two separate cases related to the allocation of 2G spectrum.

The court acquits promoters of Essar Group Ravi Ruia and Anshuman Ruia, promoters of Essar Group (Strategy and Planning) Vikas Shroff and Loop Telecom promoters IP Khaitan and Kiran Khaitan.

Seeing this that the prosecution failed to prove a conspiracy to cheat the telecom department ". The court acquitted three companies Loop Telecom, Loop Mobile India and Essar Tele Holding.

In the second case of the charge sheet filed by the CBI in the 2G case, it was alleged that Loop Telecom was the real investor and beneficiary of the license obtained Essar Group which was acquired by Essar Group through a mask company in 2008.
