Kerala Congress President M.M. Hassan told the former Controller and Audit Inspector (CAG) Vinod Rai as the agent of the Bharatiya Janata Party and asked Vinod Rai and BJP to apologize to all the accused acquitted in the 2G case.
Hassan said, "With the acquittal of the accused, it has become clear that it was nothing else, it was just a matter of politically motivated and then Vinod Rai, who was a CAG, had conceived of a fictitious Rs 1.76 lakh crore scam."
He said that it was also proved by the court order that Vinod Rai was an agent of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Hassan said, "It was a hypothetical case, which BJP to be used before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and became dependent on power. Now BJP and Vinod Rai should apologize. "
Prior to taking over the post of the CAG, Vinod Rai was the finance secretary of Kerala, and in the state as a bureaucrat he held various positions for many years.
It is notable that special judge O. P. Saini acquitted all the accused including former Telecom Minister A. Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G cases filed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
